¶ What is the HCUI?
The HCUI (Host Console User Interface) is the physical Netframe Host's console, that you can access directly to perform actions if needed. It will appear similar to the following:
¶ Accessing the HCUI
There are two main ways to access the HCUI:
- Directly connect a display to your physical Netframe Host
- Access your Netframe Host via SSH, then run
sudo /var/netframe/hcui/hcui
¶ Using the HCUI
When first accessing the console, you will be able to see the Host's fully qualified domain and IP address, and will be prompted to log in using your Netframe authentication details.
After authentication, you will have the following options:
¶ 1. Restart management agents
This will restart all of the host's management agents and services.
¶ 2. Configure Management Network
Here you can configure the Host's network interfaces, including:
- Host Management IP, gateway, VLAN, and DHCP settings
- Same settings as the Host's Networks tab in the Netframe GUI
- VSwitch network settings
- Specifically which network adapters the switch uses, and what bond mode it uses
- Enable/disable network adapters
- Same as the Host's Configuration → Network Adapters tab in the Netframe GUI
¶ 3. User Management
Including:
- Resetting your password
- Creating new users
- Deleting existing users
¶ 4. Power Controls
Shutdown or reboot the Host
¶ 5. Replace Self-Signed SSL Certificates
Regenerate and replace the Host's self-signed SSL certificates
¶ 6. Bash Shell
Access the Host's BASH terminal for more complicated or non-standard operations.
